The MP9 is one of the most useful budget SMGs on the CT side, and fortunately you do not need to spend much to give it a good skin. There are plenty of MP9 finishes below $10, from colorful artwork to clean metallic designs and older classics.
The list below focuses on skins that offer something visually distinctive without pushing the price into premium territory. Prices refer to current cash-market references, so exact values can change depending on wear and market conditions.
1. MP9 | Rose Iron from 5.34 USD

- Collection: The Winter Offensive Collection
- Case: Winter Offensive Weapon Case
- Rarity: Restricted
MP9 | Rose Iron is one of the best options if you want something more elegant than a typical budget skin. A metallic rose and thorn design runs across the weapon, using silver, purple and red details over a dark base.
It is also an older finish, released back in 2013, which gives it a more classic CS look. Normal versions remain comfortably below $10 in available wear conditions, while some StatTrak versions can also fit the budget.
2. MP9 | Hydra from 5.05 USD

- Collection: The CS20 Collection
- Case: CS20 Case
- Rarity: Classified
MP9 | Hydra combines a dark base with red and metallic details inspired by Operation Hydra. The design is sharper and more modern than Rose Iron, with several technical elements spread across the weapon.
It is also one of the few Classified MP9 skins that can still be found below $10 in several wear conditions. Minimal Wear currently sits close to the limit, while Field-Tested and more worn versions are considerably cheaper.
3. MP9 | Mount Fuji from 4.26 USD

- Collection: The Operation Riptide Collection
- Case: Operation Riptide Case
- Rarity: Restricted
MP9 | Mount Fuji is one of the most visually distinctive skins in this price range. The weapon features an acrylic style painting of Mount Fuji at dawn, with soft blue, pink and gray colors covering most of the body.
The artwork is used as a pattern, so individual examples can look slightly different. Factory New currently goes above $10, but Minimal Wear and Field-Tested versions stay within the budget and still preserve the design well.
4. MP9 | Food Chain from 3.48 USD

- Collection: The Snakebite Collection
- Case: Snakebite Case
- Rarity: Classified
MP9 | Food Chain is the obvious pick for players who want maximum color. The skin is covered with a chain of cartoon monsters in pink, blue, green and yellow, with almost no empty space left on the weapon.
It is much louder than the other skins on this list, but that is exactly the appeal. Field-Tested and more worn versions cost only a few dollars, giving you a full Classified design at a budget price.
5. MP9 | Arctic Tri-Tone from 1.96 USD

- Collection: The Sport & Field Collection
- Rarity: Restricted
Arctic Tri-Tone uses a clean combination of white, blue and light camouflage. The design is simple, but the color blocking works particularly well on the MP9 and gives it a much cleaner appearance than many skins in the same price range.
Even Factory New is currently below $5, so this is one of the easiest options if you want a cleaner exterior without spending most of the $10 budget.
6. MP9 | Ruby Poison Dart from 0.95 USD

- Collection: The Falchion Collection
- Case: Falchion Case
- Rarity: Restricted
Ruby Poison Dart uses metallic red and purple over a black base, creating a finish that looks much more expensive than its current price suggests.
The pattern is relatively simple, but the reflective colors work well in CS2 lighting. Field-Tested versions sit around one dollar, while even Factory New remains comfortably below the $10 limit.
7. MP9 | Goo from 0.83 USD

- Collection: The Spectrum 2 Collection
- Case: Spectrum 2 Case
- Rarity: Restricted
MP9 | Goo is one of the strongest ultra-budget choices. Black, tar-like material appears to spread across a gray weapon body, creating a messy organic pattern that fits the MP9 surprisingly well.
It is available for less than one dollar in several conditions, and even Factory New costs only a few dollars. If you want a recognizable design without spending much at all, Goo is difficult to beat.
Which cheap MP9 skin is the best?
It depends on what you want from the loadout.
Rose Iron is the strongest choice for a more classic metallic design, while Mount Fuji works better for players who prefer detailed artwork. Food Chain is the most colorful option, and Arctic Tri-Tone offers one of the cleanest modern finishes.
If the budget is as low as possible, Ruby Poison Dart and Goo provide much more visual detail than their price suggests.
Wear is also worth checking before buying. Several of these skins have Factory New versions above the cheapest quoted price, and in some cases a Field-Tested copy can look almost as good for significantly less.
